Grand Isle

Grand Isle, Maine, is located in the northern tip of Maine and looks across the St. John River at neighboring Canada. The community in Grand Isle is motivated and it was a pleasure to help guide the visioning of a few different key sites within the Town. Some of the sites studied include a community forest, centrally located playground, a boat launch, and a river path providing a connection to Madawaska. AKLA created plans and perspectives and met with a steering committee to present the visioning concepts that would guide discussion for future funding and project development.
