AKLA worked collaboratively with a Boston-based planning and engineering team as well as Maine based StudioVerde to identify and develop conceptual plans for a series of nodes and corridors along the 5+ Mile arterial connecting Morill’s Corner in Portland to Bug Light Park in South Portland. AKLA’s concept diagrams and illustratives were instrumental in helping illustrate the scope and benefits of the project both in terms of transportation considerations, but also land use and placemaking.
