The driving forces behind the concept design for the library were attunement with the library’s programmatic needs, the limitless whimsy and wonder of education, feeling inspired by the diverse demographic of library patrons, as well as embracing an opportunity to both enhance and mitigate existing constraints posed by stormwater/drainage. AKLA met with Library leadership and worked closely with the architecture and civil design team.
