Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, this project incorporates native and reclaimed materials to enhance both beauty and sustainability. Salvaged native ferns and meadow mix were used to remediate site edges, while reclaimed stone terraces connect the home to the site's exposed ledge and ocean geology. Carefully planned approaches and driveways limit disturbance and create a sense of arrival. Outdoor spaces—including a dining area and a remote wood-burning fire pit overlooking the Royal River—offer opportunities to gather or reflect. Integrated stone steps descend through native ferns, creating a layered experience that invites connection with nature at every turn.
