AKLA worked with Developers Collaborative to create a plan for affordable housing that would accommodate families. The design process began with AKLA creating concept diagrams to storyboard building massing and site relationships, then flowed into grading and feasibility, circulation studies then team coordination. The final plan uses earthwork to generate whimsy and opportunities for play as well as a bridge over a rain garden and a playscape with a colorful mural painted by the AKLA team.
