Underwood Park

AKLA led a master plan reimagining a neglected park in Falmouth Foreside, Maine, transforming it into a vibrant, family-friendly hub for the neighborhood. The design emphasizes natural play featuring grass sculptural mounds with integrated slides and climbing elements, a central play field, and a whimsical "Ferry Garden" for imaginative play. A new trail network will weave through the park, connecting seamlessly to the broader Falmouth trail system. The revitalized park will serve as an inclusive, nature-based gathering space that reflects the character and needs of the local community.
