This project reimagines the landscape of a 1980s-era home located in the Starwood neighborhood overlooking Aspen Valley. The design challenge was to transform the existing home into a contemporary retreat that aligns with the updated architectural design. The renovation focused on creating strong spatial organization, modern materiality, and seamless indoor-outdoor connections. An arrival court establishes a clean, welcoming entry sequence with modern hardscape details and curated plantings. At the heart of the outdoor experience is a pool and spa terrace anchored by a custom fire feature—serving as the central gathering space and visual focal point. A generous play lawn offers flexible recreation space for family and guests, framed by swaths of native plantings. The plant palette includes aspens, spruce and native shrubs complemented by a pollinator-friendly meadow mix that softens transitions and restores ecological value.
